Toyota Tns410 Mp3 Playback And Sat Nav Query

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this. I've noticed that on the TNS410 I have, if I'm playing CD, Aux or radio and running the sat nav at the same time, then the sat nav voice will play over the audio (which is what I prefer). If however I play USB, the music cuts out, sat nav voice gives its instruction, and then the music resumes from where it cut out. Is there anyway to keep the USB music playing and have the sat nav overlay the voice instruction in the same manner it does for the CD/radio?

My hunch is that the Sat Nav face unit is what is decoding the mp3s from the USB and thus it will only process one at a time, but I thought I'd get a second opinion. It's very annoying to have the music cut out just before the drop on 'In the Air Tonight'. :dontgetit:

Thanks in advance.

The instructions - http://www.toyota-tech.eu/aimuploads/%7BAC0ACF45-A753-1FD6-6712-5D70B917A753%7D/TME_TNS_410_UM_EN.pdf

- do say that you can only play from the USB when the navigation device is attached to the unit. So it could well be that the TomTom is decoding the mp3's.

Thanks Frosty. Looks like I'll have to live with it :(

On a side note, does the 5 year warranty cover the Sat Nav unit? I noticed over the weekend that mine no longer picks up a GPS signal. Reset it a few times and had a software update but to no avail :(.
