Hi,

Well this might sound a bit sad but I would quite like a Auris SR180 - TTE/ TRD/ T Sport Grill Badge.

Most of the one's on eBay look quite poor quality and I don't think would fit easily.

Anyone got experience please - I have tried to search the sub-forum!

Opelise are based in Lichfield.

I'm in Birmingham - but no connection to Opelise.

Think in the past they have - and there was one mooted for last year including a visit to Toyota at Derby, but think it fizzled out.

The company I got mine from isn't on eBay anymore but these two are the same I had black back plates but you can't see them anyway ... But I went with black plates just in case ...111197423398 is one eBay number for one with black back plates

191108443249 is one with silver back plates ... Which I would think you still wouldn't be able to see because of the chunky grill ...

Thanks Ben I am going to get the one with the black backing plate - did you use rubber washers to stop vibrations?

Hi Ben,

I got the trd Badge as per the eBay link thanks - it's the one with the black backing plates.

I had a look at fitting it and it all looks pretty congested in there. Could you give me some fitting advice please.

Would I need to remove all the plastic 'trays' etc

Best wishes,

John

The one you need to take off is the plastic tray under the bonnet that the Battery cover goes to and the one attached to the bumper ( pretty easy to remove just try not to snap the clips ) ... Or take off the front scuttle panel under the car and reach up past the front of the intercooler

Thanks Ben, I have some spare clips but is there a technique that makes it easy not to snap them - I have attached a picture with red arrows to the plastic tray above the Battery cover and the bumper clip - is this correct?

Yes but take the Battery cover off unless you have a trim tool .... One hand under and one on top to pull and you feel there is one prong longer than the rest push the stem of the clip against it and up and they come up ... Then there is the long trim that makes it easier to get at the bulbs then the front trim clipped to the bumper is a bit more fiddly but it's all easy enough takes longer to take apart than it does to do the job and put it back together

Thanks - so all of the 5 arrows denoting clips/ screws to come off?

Maybe one day we could meet somewhere between derbyshire and leicestershire - have you modded your car - I am not sure if you saw the 2 boxes on the image I posted before?

Sorry to hear that!

Would you let me know if you could give me a hand please, I think I would like to have it fitted before I go to Le Mans mid June.
