Aygo Leaking

Another Aygo owner here with a leaking car! Would appreciate some help working out where the water is coming from.

It's a 2009 5 door Aygo Platinum

I have a wet foot well in the rear of the car behind the passenger seat only.

But It appears I have water coming in through the two back windows ( or perhaps the door ?) on BOTH sides, which leads me to suspect the wet floor on one side is from another leak somewhere? The boot is dry.

The car is just outside the Toyota warranty for leaks...

sorry to hear your problems but your definately not alone.

i would remove your carpet from the boot area and if possible from the cabin aswell

with the carpets removed you will be able to see a lot clearer where the water is

running from and more importantly keep the floor dry to prevent rusting,

i would also remove the base of the rear seat as water will be running under it.

to test for leaks use a watering can with screen wash in, this way when you

see the coloured water you know its the test water your seeing and not old water.

also carefully lower the roof lining just enough for you to see if the aerial is leaking.

i hope you have some good fortune sorting your leak / leaks

It's the door seals. They rely on one bit of rubber pushing against the frame of the door and over time they will get weaker. Water then runs down in to the seal and sits on this but guessing it's seeping through. With the door shut look between the door and the car and you see what I mean.

I once had my Aygo referred to as a teabag by a garage.
