Prius+ Hud Information

I have a new Prius+ Excel Plus which is fitted with a HUD.

I have the option within the settings for the HUD to turn on direction information to be displayed. My problem is that even with the HUD direction setting turned on, I only ever get the speed displayed.

The Sat nav is a Touch & Go Plus, there is also an option to have the directions displayed within the new 4" screen within the dash.

I am wondering whether the HUD is actually connected to the direction functions of the Sat Nav due to the new dashboard display and the setting is historical as it was used in the previous model.

I would be interested to hear any comments as my Toyota dealer hasn't got an answer for me yet.

Have you tried hitting the HUD on/off/mode change button on the dash to see if this makes it come up?

Navigation turns were not displayed on the HUD on the old model. Mine is a T-spirit with T&G Plus, no HUD turn info, so it's not historical.

To confirm to the OP, the original Prius gen3 with satnav did display the directions via the hud. The gen3.5 update did away with that feature.

Backwards step but I guess people want colour 3d displays on a screen in the dash rather than a black & white simple arrow displayed directly in front of them.

The satnav directions on the HUD was available with the HDD based satnav in the original gen3 Tspirit prius (as GC said). When Touch and Go came out, this was not able to output to the HUD.

Had the car 2 years now and I've only just noticed the "Welcome to the Prius+" message on the HUD when you press the start button.

I guess I never really looked at the HUD first thing before, I'm usually looking at the main display watching for it to tell me it's "READY"

We received our Prius+ (New 2015 model) in september and have the same issue. We only get the speed on the hud, nothing else and especially not satnav directions. Note that the car has a menu to activate the navigation instructions on the hud, meaning that the car should be able to do it.

After a number of visits to the dealer, they admitted it is indeed an issue.

Still waiting for a solution however. I contact the dealer from time to time and their staff is very kind and helpful, but in the end, I still do not have a fix.
