Hi, picked up my third diesel Yaris today so thought I had better introduce myself. I've read several posts and learned so much already.

My first Yaris was brand new on a 02 plate 1.4 diesel, think it was something like a GLS. It gave loyal service, only becoming troublesome after putting 217,000 miles on the clock in 7 years.

Next was a 5 year old diesel T Spirit with one owner and 26,000 on the clock. That was part exchanged today after me adding another 111,000 miles in 5 years.

I now have a 63 plate TR diesel, 11,000 mile dealership car / demonstrator which I intend to keep for many years, fingers crossed!

I do a fair bit of driving and the diesel suits me fine. Look after the engines with regular servicing and they keep on going and very economical.

About 10 years ago I had a Prius as a work car. The model had not been out long, very comfy to drive but I felt I had a lot of car behind me and all around visibility was not the best. I had to keep my wits about me driving around supermarket car parks or slowly along the high street as no one could hear the electric engine and the number of people who literally just stepped out in front of me was shocking!
