Alloys Fitted As Standard?

My son is about to purchase a used Toyota Yaris 1.0 but it comes with alloys, which if not fitted as standard increase his insurance beyond affordable levels.

This is his brothers car, which he purchased used 2 yrs ago, but the garage he got it from has closed down,

The Yaris is 2001 reg and is a 1.0 GS VVT-1.

I rang insurance about this but they were no help, other than to say look it up, hence my registering on here for my son pre his owning it.

Appreciate any information related to this.

Our lad is 17 so this will be his first car and we need to sort this as if not fitted a standard they will not fit the telematics box when he goes ahead with the insurance
