Hi, i am do for a shocks and springs replacement this summer.

And i wanted to hear from fellow avensis owners for suggestions.

Anyone done some experimenting here?

Go for the OE shocks from local shop or OEM like bilstein?

When it comes to the springs, i think the OEM are rather too bouncy, but i don't want to lower the car.

I was thinking about the Eibach Prokit wich only lowers 25mm. But not sure here. (have had the Prokit on several other car brands).

Any help here would be appreciated :)

I changed just springs nearly 2 years ago I think

-30 I think

great about the twisties

I never get using the car much but noticed slight bounce/twitch at the rear at speed when going over road sections

don't know if my rear dampers are failing or just not a good match to the springs

don't know if its my stupid size tyres that im due replacing for something lower profile.

ill see how it goes after tyre replacement

if I need to change shocks I will this summer

-30 is ok on the Avensis? Not grinding the bumper on speedbumps? I have some crappy roads from here to my work.

I also notice a slight twitch/bounce at the rear, i am thinking its the dampers. Perhaps the rear bushes are due too.

I run on the original 205/55/16.

Occasional front bumper skirty bit scuffs on really big speed humps.

I had back end jacked up couldnt get any play from bushes yet it feels same as my old vectra when it needed top control arm bushes on rear axle.
