Notchy Gearchange

Hi guys, I have recently renewed all four discs and pads on my Vvti 1.4 Corolla. Everything is fine brakewise, but I am experiencing notchy gearchanges suddenly. I know the brake fluid and clutch fluids are linked. Is there anything I need to check before I bleed the clutch?

I have read somewhere that these gearboxes have linkage cables which can cause issues.

I notice notchy gearbox at standstill trying to engage any gear but when driving seems fine.

My first check would to inspect the underside for oil leaks around the drive shaft areas. A gear box oil change is always a good thing too. I know on my Honda it feels like a totally new car after a gearbox oil change.

However not sure if you need genuine fluid for this?

check fluid level, could it be that when the pistons were pushed back to fit the disc and pads, the fluid level over the max level?

Thanks for the advice. I did draw off some brake fluid when i had completed both front and back discs. I have however topped up the gearbox oil. It took a lot more than i would have expected. Everything is dry underneath so no leaks. Would this effect the clutch in any way?

Is it hard to get in gear. Are the systems linked, on my e11 they are not.

Perhaps a sign of a worn synchro
