Auris 2007 Rear Door Actuator Broken

Just after a tip as to how to open the OSR door as the actuator appears to have stopped working. Once I can get it open I can remove the door panel and determine if it is the actuator at fault. It currently won't open with the key fob or manually by pulling on either the inside or outside handle. Any help really appreciated.

Do you normally use the childproof lock function on the back doors?

I've had doors sticking that responded to a good kick. Lie along the back seat and kick the door panel (in your stocking soles if you're worried about damaging the trim) while someone pulls hard on the door handle outside.

Thanks Tom and Ben, will give it a go tomorrow in the light but just been out and the central locking mechanism is working.

Ben, stupid question maybe but assume youse the extension nozzle on the WD40 and stick it in the door jam in the area of the catch and spray?

Thanks Tom and Ben!

Tried the day after you suggested and I was probably a bit feeble with the kick. So it didn't work.

In frustration this afternoon gave it a few big kicks (before the inevitable of calling the garage on Monday) and lo and behold it opened.

Great suggestion.
