Yaris 2001 1L Struggles To Start When Hot And Chain Noisy.

Hi all, I have a yaris 2001 1l vvti, the timing chain is noisy and it struggles to start when hot. I am not sure if these items are related or not so any help/advise appreciated.

There are no fault codes stored the coolant temp sensor seems to be doing its job. The vehicle has not been maintained as per manufacturer so this would be the reason for the noisy chain. but I am unsure if the timing is correct.
