Tns310 - What's The Latest Version Maps Disc?

I recently installed a 58806 HU and TNS200 SatNav system into my Gen6 Celica

It came with a 2001-2002 maps disc and I had a hell of a job finding a newer version for this system, let alone finding out which was the LATEST version

I found a cheap TNS300 DVD unit with a 2004-2002 ver2 disc and took a chance ( less than £10 ) that it was pin-for-pin compatible and would work with the 58806 HU

It did and I personally found it to be a better system to use

My question is this:

I understand the TNS300 DVD can be upgraged to a TNS310 ( is this true, or does that mean yet another DVD drive? )

If this is the case, what is the latest version maps disc for the TNS310? ( or the latest TNS300 if it isn't compatible )

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Anyone have a link or can send a copy of DVD maps please? I will cover postage etc.

I have a 310 but no disc (bought car today), in no way would I consider 125 EUR for the disc when google maps is free but I would like to check it out / have the disc none the less..

Anyone help out? Many thanks

Don't think the disc would be copyable.

OK sorry, it would be copyable however.

I saw a few posts talking about torrents whilst searching and its so old now I thought no one would care. Apologies

you should be able to find out latest version at http://www.toyota-mapupdates.eu They are still probably selling updates for the 300/310 although the hardware is very limited compared to what is available now.

And pay £100+ for tech that's super outdated? Guess I will have to forget it.

Thanks for the replies.

the mapping would be current but we do usually tell people just to buy a current Garmin/Tomtom as the hardware will have advanced so much in 10 years & you may get free map upgrades "for life" (btw Garmin & Tomtoms idea of life may not be the same as yours or mine  ).

Thanks for the reply, I have now found what I was looking for :)

I guess I just want to see out of curiosity what the navigation is like on my new old motor! I will be opening a help thread soon as I have no idea on the health of my car having never owned a Toyota OR a diesel and acceleration in low revs seems poor. Thanks.
