Toyota Avensis Sr Turbo Diesel 2002 Advise Needed

Hi Guys,

This is my first time here i wanted some advice on how to change the front discs and break pads on my car. I want to do it myself as i am being given very high quotes for labour from my local garages i have bought the discs and pads what else do i need? Please advise thanks.

brake cleaner, copper grease, silicone grease for slider bolts

Add WD40 or similar to free any bolts along with a breaker bar or torque wrench for leverage. The caliper bracket bolts can be stubborn.

Also a couple of M8 bolts of at least 2cm long. The disc may be stuck to the hub, and the bolts are screwed into the disc to force off the hub.

Emery cloth or sand paper to clean the hub mating face, ready for the new disc.

This is a simple job.
