Which Wind Deflectors?

I want to put some wind deflectors on my Aygo, and the choice is between the G3 and the Heko. Climair are simply too expensive, although I know many people favour them.

So far I've seen positives and negatives on both sides concerning G3 and Heko so just wanted to ask here if there are any real difference between the two?

TIA for any comments.

Can't say about G3 but I have just fitted the heko deflectors to my motor and they seem fine

The Heko deflectors seem popular on the Auris club.

I have Heko on my Yaris , been on about 3 years with no problem

Heko do seem to be the most popular then and only about £4 dearer than G3, so I'll go with Hekos.

Thank you.

Here in Germany the Climair are TUV approved Heko are not there is an interesting video on YouTube. Here you get a ticket if they are in a bad mood.

I bought a pair sold by Heko, there held in place with two stainless U clips but not impressed as they allow water in when the car is being power washed.

Windows didn't leak before they were fitted.

I would have thought Toyota would have had there own as I had genuine Toyota one on my Yaris.

Depends whether Toyota GB think there is a demand for them - presumably not.

As the Aygo is made by the Joint Venture with PSA, presumably if they did decide to source deflectors they would be rebranded Heko, G3, Climair or similar.

Cheers for the reply.

I have the G3s on my Aygo, fit perfectly, took me less than 5 minutes.  Probably had them a couple of years now and no sign of any problems.

A vote for the Heko Wind deflectors from me.  I fitted them on my 3 door Aygo Fire and also got a pair for my niece for her Peugeot 107 5 door and fitted them for her....We're both delighted with them, they are a doddle to put on and look great.  You can actually open the window on the motorway or just a crack to let some fresh air in without getting blown to bits.

I really don't know why Toyota don't do them as an option as, in my opinion, they should be standard equipment.  Then again, if they were an option from Toyota, they would probably cost more than the £23.49 (With free P&P) I paid on eBay and , as Frostyballs says, would probably be "Badge engineered" Heko or Climair anyway.

The only wind deflectors that TUV approved are ClimAir. Toyota would not rename another brand.

Climair deflectors come with a certificate for public road use.

Heko and other brands do not.
