Hello,

I have joined this forum as I have used it as a watcher for some time, I bought my son a 53 Yaris last year to teach him to drive in before he turned 17. Anyway, I loved this little car and the simplicity of being able to do little jobs on it like the good old days (I'm 40 my first car was a vauxhall chevette). Anyway my daughter is turning 17 later this year so I searched long and hard to find exactly the same car for her but in a different colour.

So basically both my kids have Yaris's 2003 and 2004, 1.0, T2 with absolutely no frills.

I have done a few jobs to them, such as replacing the brake disks/shoes on them both all the way round, Bosch Aerotwin wipers, Dension Gateway Lite BT, I have done the Antiroll bar bushes on the newer one and will be looking for advice and tips on replacing the front panel, bumper and lights as it was in a bit of a bump at some point and looks a bot tatty with wide panel gaps.

I am looking forward to tinkering and happy to hear of any advice, regular issues, things to look out for and general pointers on them.

Cheers

Adie

I have bought a t180 avensis 2.2 2008 plate but to my horror I am losing water and the car is overheating , it's fine for about an hour after that I have to top up water regular.

Can anyone help I hope it's not head gasket
