Looks nothing more than a face lift photoshop in my opinion.

The next Prius will doubtless have the Family X nose

Still poor visibility of the front of the car from the drivers position by the look of it and I guess they may have decided no to try to appeal to people who don't like the current wedge shape. I agree with the above, the pictures look like more of a facelift than a new design. Its all speculation though, so far I have seen at least half a dozen different designs which are supposed to be the Gen 4 Prius.

I was hoping for a nice aggressive design more like this one (put the http:// in front of it):-

Hopefully not like the Aygo!

Not that it matters reall, because unfortunately I am not in a position to afford a New Prius.

The 2016 Prius is scheduled to use Toyota's New Global Architecture - their new modular platform - so should be more than just a facelift. See.http://blog.toyota.c...-for-the-future
So much more than the present Auris (which retained the Type Approval from the 2007 Auris), the current Rav4 and the existing Verso.

For the PiP 35 miles (maybe), but (more importantly) what about the base hybrid?????

I understand people saying the Prius is not the best looking vehicle, but it is one of the lowest-drag designs on the market. At some point you become limited to what you can do when your design goal is efficiency.

Sorry Barry, you've lost me, what about the base hybrid?

Its an electric assisted vehicle, always has been and will be nothing more I'd have though to be honest.

Apologies for writing gobble-de-!Removed!, Jono...

the 35 mile range must apply to the Plug In,, but my interest is in the non-plug in....unless, of course, (but unlikely) the PiP is available with an opening sun roof (and hopefully no waste-of-money solar panel)

I'm surprised with the PiP that they haven't come up with a solar roof option to trickle charge the HV.

Yes it'll be very slow, and not the sort of thing to be relied upon to fully recharge the Battery, but if my car is sitting in the sun at work all day and its enough to put say only half a mile in, over time, that'll soon mount up on reduced fuel costs, and environmental savings surely?

I like it, the deal breaker for me though will be if they have reverted back to an old style dash with round clocks. I like the Gen 3 digital dash and HUD, I can't keep looking down to check my speed etc. :g:
