Focal Speakers And Tweeters With Toyota Connectors

i found these Speakers that are made to fit in some toyotas but i wonder if they would fit nice in the t25.

would be nice to just plug the Speakers and tweeters in to the factory connectors.

i have already upgraded my front Speakers with another focal kit and the tweeter wiring was a hassel.

if this can be used in the t25 it would be a blessing for the common man with no install/wiring experience.

The should be a similar fit. The only difference could be the depth of the Avensis fitting. I think the diameter should fit.

I did a bit of research and found the following for comparison -

These focal Speakers may fit your car, but check their catalogue to see if there are a version.

the Depth of the speaker doesent seme to be mentioned anywhere..

they got some other plug and play kits for Toyota but these are for prius,Tacoma and so on and dont look as they would fit in the Avensis.

l think the speaker/wiring system in Toyotas in general is the same With a few exeptions

i have the universal focal iss-165 kit in my car but if i have known about the focal is-165toy kit i sure would have tryed it.

I was looking into another query and noticed that the Verso uses both type of Speakers from the Rava4/Yaris and Avensis.

The images don't look that much different and they are a good approximation of the actual Speakers.

This means the depth may not be an issue. The plug system looks identical too. The rivet points are in the same location. I hate the rivet system, but how many times do you change a speaker during a cars ownership?

When I replaced the Speakers for my mk1 a few years back, I installed JBL 165mm 2 way speakers. First I measured the aperture which can accommodate large speakers up to 165mm, then the depth (with the glass down) and the clearance to door card speaker grill.

Then I sourced 6mm fibre board and made a template using the original speaker. This will be the baffles which help the bass and general sound.

All four speakers are the same. Plastic is fixed behind the speakers as splash guard. The door card/grill is perfect fit.

The sound is very good, with deep bass, clarity and volume.

Speakers cost £50 (£25 x 2).

They match the specs of the Focal replacement at a fraction of the cost and a bit of work.

That is a Nice setup.

for the focal Speakers i have now i just reused the bracket on the old speaker.just clipped of the plastic pins around the inside of the bracked and pulled out the "paper" speaker.put the focal speaker in the bracket and set it back.

the rivets was a pain but i got it done after some fail ones.

another thing that annoy me is that the rear Speakers are smaller than the ones in the front door so to fit a 165 speaker in the rear door would need a New bracket or maybe make one like you have

the only reason i use focal is that my Brother was a car audio dealer a coupple of years ago and one of the less expensive brands he had was focal and With his dealership discount they become "cheap".

i see in the forums that JBL is a popular brand and Nice priced. proberly something to check out in the future.

Edit:

i had a rav4 2001 mod and replaced the Speakers With....Yeah, focal.

if i am not mistaken it was 130mm speakers in the rav4,could be wrong... i've had a few Toyotas.
