2015 Aygo Build/delivery Times

Hi

can anyone comment on their experience of aygo build times.

Have been quoted 3 months from order to delivery which sounds a little high to me given i have specified no customisation.

On which trim level?

Some people have had to wait three months for the model they ordered - and this goes back to models ordered after launch.

its just a base specification car with absolutely zero options

i.e. 1.0 VVT-i X 3dr

Mine took a couple of weeks on an x-pression with smart and nav as options. I understood it was built rather than uk stock...... Which surprised me.

It's in silver which is relatively rare.

I cannot believe there is not one base spec in stock at ANY dealer.

Don't whatever you do walk into your nearest dealer and place an order.

Stick the spec into CARWOW get the best price and then see whatdealers that respond to your enquiry. have in stock. I got £1200 off list.

They willl all deliver the car to your door. (Althogh a local dealer matched the deal after a lot of wiggling)

The concept of buying the car from the garage down the road for list is rather old hat.

Toyota UK make speculative orders of stock based on their experience/expectations of how the individual models will sell, at the moment the sales show that:

X-pression is the top selling model, then

X-play

X-cite

X-clusive

and finally X

Also 5dr outsells 3dr

The X is and was expected to be a very low volume option and no dealer will want one in stock or as a demo as it is not the best seller also Toyota will keep the stock levels at the depot low for the same reason.

As a 3dr X you have probably chosen the lowest volume model option in the Aygo range.

My Aygo Xclusiv X-shift had an estimate of 8weeks.(bought in the Netherlands)

I went in and ordered and X-clusive with the addition of the nav and i have been told that expected delivery date is next Friday Keeping my fingers crossed
