Turn Off Sat Nav

Hi Guys

i have just got an 05 avensis 2.2 tspirit diesel which i am using as a taxi

it has a dual display mpg/sat nav which is useless question is can i turn off

the sat nav and have dual fuel mpg display instead?

I'm sure I read about this on here not too long ago (but I can't find the thread). IIRC the cure was to unplug the sat nav from under the passenger seat, but maybe there was more to it than that. Perhaps give it a try and see what it does?

i had a look for the wires

they are tight against the floor where the seat bolts are

and i cant get at them the electric passenger seat has no height adjustment

any tips for removing the seat ?

or a link to the thread ?

To get the seat loose/out you'll probably need to move the seat fully forward to access the rear bolts, and fully back for the front bolts.

I finally got it by removing the dvd unit

so if anyone wants the tns300/310 dvd player and disc with drg in fully working order before i removed it

for free let me know
