Did mine a couple of days ago but it's the Touch 2 with NAV unit (2014). Why?

Says can be done via usb stick, asked at local dealer and they wanted £150 ,due to age of car.

Toyota satnav updates outwith the initial period are chargeable & believe it or not Toyota is actually at the cheaper end of the scale compared to other car manufacturers ...

Didn't the 2011 SR come with TomTom (which doesn't show on the above link)?

One can update via the following website: http://www.toyota-mapupdates.eu

Think with Touch & Go updates were free for three years from the first registration date, but as yours is a 61 plate, this would be older than three years.

£150-200 for sat a nav update on a vehicle manufacturer's system is around the average cost.

Touch & Go updates are only free for 3 years if you have the + version.

Correct (as I found out). Mine was £109 for (what is now) a lifetime subscription. Did it myself from the Toyota EU site. Whether that is my lifetime or the car's, I have yet to find out lol!

Oh and yes, I did it using an 8Gb USB stick...

With charges of £150, that is the reason I would not consider a manufacturers sat nav. I can buy a good TomTom/Garmin with lifetime updates for around £100. Maps updated quarterly makes it a no brainer for me. Ok might not look as pretty, but beauty is only skin deep you need updates to keep it functioning correctly.
