My MR2 makes rattling noises when engines warm. took it to garage they said it was the catalitic converter but have found out that it is not that. wondering if its big ends or what. can anybody advise what I need. Do you think that I need a new engine. did a service on the car but its still rattling. any help would be appreciated.

Could be a lot of things. If it's not absolutely horrible when revved then it's Probably not big ends, or at least they're not that bad if it is. Does it use oil at all? Down on power? I'd let the garage get to the bottom of it. They should be able to diagnose any serious fault.
