Could somebody help me please? the power steering has suddenly gone on my auris and im confussed as to sort this out as it seems to be electrical rather than a top up of oil needed... is this correct? 07 reg auris had it for 4 weeks!

It is electric. The power steering ECU has been known to give problems.

did you buy it from a private individual or a dealer/trader? If the latter you have redress to get them to sort it.

My 08 did this a while back.As read on here somewhere make sure the Battery has a good charge in it.I believe the electric power steering is one of the first components to complain.I gave my Battery a good charge and its never happened since.Good luck.
