How To Remove Ballast Ballast?

Hi guys I need to.remove the ballast from a 2005 avensis. I opened my headlamps but now I can't pull the silvery cable/connector out because it's being stuck in between the reflector and the headlamp I've looked about an hour for screws or ways to make a bit more space to pul it out but no joy. Has anyone managed to get them out? Cheers
