Hello to all.my name is Mike. Have owned my 84 mk 2 for 11 years. Had the engine machined about 6 years ago. Still runnin strong. Puts out about 300; without adders. Really fun to drive. Torque is fairly up high; pretty common with these L6 engines. However once you get them up, they scream. Redid the head; 3angle valve job, oversize valves, ported, block was line bored ,40 over Ross 11.1 pistons rods manga fluxed and shot penned, toga rings, main bearings and rod bearings, high volume toga oil pump. Block decked, header installed. Straight pipe to rear. Short shifter, nitrous if I want it; I usually don't. Addco sway bars front and rear. 17 inch anson sprint rims. All engine internals balanced. Aluminum drive shaft, act aluminum flywheel, center force dual friction clutch. 4:30 toy LSD rear. Msd 6 a spark box; with a blaster coil. Only thing is; have to get the interior and body done. All in all; a real PITA to find parts for; though had a blast doing it. Oh; and it's a 5MGE; NA. Hope to hear from all of you.
