Loud Avensis Mk1 Horn Beeped Me In Bexleyheath

I was travelling in Bexleyheath and pulled up at a junction. Then a loud horn beeped me from an Avensis mk1 right behind me. I jumped! It sounded the same as mine and almost fooled me into thinking it was my car. Not sure if it was on purpose or accident?

I hear car horns and most are naff, but the horn on my car has guts. They are twins.

My old Vauxhalls had faulty horns and I replaced them with Opel Manta horns.

Are you satisfied with your horn? Did that come out right?

don't know about US laws but that pranking would (rightly imo) be an offence in the UK.

Of course America's got rules for it, standard pattern is 2 long, 1 short and 1 long blast with no duration given for long or short blasts, to be sounded at least 15 seconds but not more than 20 seconds before a crossing with a minimum of 96 decibels and max of 110. All they need now is an amendment for shopping malls.

My Yaris horn is completely unthreatening. It's like being beeped by the Roadrunner!
