Hi all,

New to the forum so wondering if someone have the info I am after, which will be much appreciated.

So,I have a Hilux 3.0 2012year.What happen is ,I am having a fault code P0672 which is related to glow plug of cylinder N2.I have erased the DTC several times but the problem still exist. And the strangest thing is,I do erase the fault code on the evening. On next morning no problem, engine starts lovely no warning lights, but on the evening when I am coming back from work the fault code appears.Always on the evening. So as I am in the trade(HGV/plant mechanic) and my motor is still under warranty I am wondering is a glow plug fouling under warranty conditions or not.Have some of you guys experienced this problem?I did have a look where is the glow plug and to be honest I would't bother changing it if is not under warranty. All this agro with EGR heat exchanger, coolant drain off etc I see how it will end up with resistor and that's it.By the way did not have the chance to check the resistance on glow plugs from the plug with four wires on top of the engine. That will be at the tea time tomorrow :)

If someone have some experience related to the problem explained above, please fill welcome to give advices

Regards

Stan

The glow plugs are a on a 3 x detection logic, so a fault has to occur 3 x before the EML lamp will come on. The fault is a known one ( albeit rare ) subject to a technical service bulletin ref: EG-0015T-0215 the glow plugs can fail prematurely and if they do a new modified set is required, if you are still under warranty speak to your dealer and mention the bulletin ref above
