Ipod Nano 2nd Generation - Not Recognised By Media System

According to the Media User Manual, my iPod nano 2nd generation is listed as a suitable device for connection via the USB port and then stream music via the media system.

Whilst I can connect my iPod to the USB port with an Apple adaptor cable, it isn't being recognised as a USB device, and the USB icon remains greyed out.

Has anyone managed to connect their iPod?

Yet again I'll answer my own post!

It seems to beanother case of impatience. It appears you must turn on and connect iPod BEFORE turning ignition on! I have yet to positively confirm this is the case, but this morning it connected seamlessly -ho hum
