Toyota Yaris D4d Service History Problem

Hi,

I have recently purchased a 140K Yaris D4D 2006 with supposedly full service history. however I just checked the documents and its missing the last 5 years despite advertising it on the website. I have documentation for it to have been serviced every 10,000 miles till 77k but not after. The car is very clean and runs nicely but I am no expert. I bout the car for £1760. How important is the service history considering the price?

Well if you've bought the car then its all hearsay and irreverent to be honest.

If bought through a dealer you could kick off with them and get them to chase it, but I'd you'd be lucky if they do as most don't care much for after sales care.

At £1700 any service history is an unexpected bonus.

At 140k miles, it's a huge pile of paper no-one will ever read.

(I remember looking at a Citroen Xantia with full service history. I read it all. It was well maintained but the annual costs were exorbitant - about £800pa. I did not buy it!)
