Hi all, I have a 2005 Daihatsu Sirion, and wondering if this is the right place to discuss. I hear the Sirion is the same as the Yaris, but as I have never seen one here in Nepal, I have no idea. But I just bought a 2005 Sirion M3 and looking for a place to find out info. I noticed that the repair guide link for the 2005 yaris is inop, at least for me: http://rapidshare.com/files/227074017/Yaris_Service_Manual_Part_01.rar so still can't see how close these two vehicles are... well, any tips are appreciated!

Hello - welcome to the Toyota Owners Club.

The Sirion and Yaris did have some common components, etc, but diversified from around 2008 (eg up to the Yaris having the Toyota 1.33 engine in 2008, the 1.3 engine in both the Yaris and Sirion was largely the same). Daihatsu is part of the Toyota Group so some sharing of components made sense.
However somewhere like the Daihatsu Owners Club may be better for you - http://www.daihatsu-drivers.uk/forum
Go to the 'Cars' section of the forum. It is a smaller club, as Daihatsu were a minority player in the UK.

Could also have a look at Perodua, as they licence-built the Sirion as the Perodua Myvi -

The Sirion was also sold in some markets as the later model Subaru Justy.

Toyota sold the Sirion in the Japanese market as theToyota Passo.
