How To Order/access Mp3 Songs (in Folders)?

My 2012 mk1 Auris Hybrid has a USB socket in the upper glovebox compartment

I enjoy my songs and I like to be able to locate a particular song easily

I prefer using folders

But realised u cannot pick folders , but it is displayed.

Which means I either have to go thru ALL the songs one by one to find a particular song...

Or search by alphabetically order using the search facility :(

How can I select a particular folder in my car?

Or saved by album name (as there is a album search) but how to save using album names???

Also

I tried to save my MP3 s by numerical order.

That is prefix each MP3 name with 1001, then 1002 ...

But even that some MP3 s prefix numbers are not recognised and then gets order by their alphabetically MP3 names???

Anyone encounter similar problems?

Thanks

Not convinced the audio/video/electronics section is as well-viewed (and responded to) as it could be.

Post moved to the Auris club in the hope this may generate some responses.

With an ipod plugged in via usb you can select a folder, I'm pretty certain you select it when it's displayed using the right hand knob.

Hi Wayne. I use the usb stick too. My mate downloaded about 25 albums for me in mp 3 format. I can find them by using the albums button or by song or by artist. I downloaded Guns and Roses Appetite for destruction myself but I can only play the whole album not individual songs. He had all the albums in their own individual file so I can choose each song/ album I want, also the album/cd cover appears on the screen too. It must be able to do that, but I didn't put the files on the usb stick, sorry mate, it ain't much help but It might help a little.

Good news bud! :)

Went back to computer

Found all the MP3 songs

Added (or amend) the ALBUM name on each mp3 song to be called folder names

Copied onto USB stick - stick in Auris

PRESTO!

I can select the ALBUM names as if they were FOLDERS :)

Thanks! :) :) :)
