Hey guys.

I'm looking to buy an Aygo, not the very latest model. Has anyone got any bits of advice? Any major issues I should be aware of etc? I heard something about the clutch being faulty and needs replacing, is this true?

Thanks.

Any idea of the age Aygo you're looking for??

Some early Aygo's had clutch problems which were addressed by fitting the larger clutch as fitted to the Yaris, and this became a standard production fit.

Water leaks into the boot area have occurred on some Aygo's.

Water pump can fail.

water pumps and water leaks both have the extended warranty for them.so i would go for a 62 plate onwards with toyota fsh

that way you would be covered for the common issues that the aygo can suffer from,

with regards to the clutch issue the auto versions tend to have the clutch fail the quickest as some owners dont realise

the autobox is in fact a manual gearbox with a robotised gear change so it has the manual clutch, if you sit at a traffic lights in drive in effect you

are slipping the clutch so premature wear will take place, besides the above mentioned they are a good car.

Not much goes wrong apart from some water leaks. Just make sure you can live with the comfort. Can't fault it otherwise. On my second one.
