Offisde Drive Shaft For 2010 Iq 1.0

Hello,

Looking for an offside driveshaft for my 2010 iQ 1.0. Difficult to find one I can afford - £690 from Toyota, £400 used on eBay, £200 salvage... Will another model's driveshaft fit? eg for an Aygo, eg one on this page: http://www.jandrcvjoints.co.uk/toyota/?page=2

Just got this car from my uncle who is no longer able to drive. He got through 3 clutches in a year; big scratch on shaft shows that a 'mechanic' used a hammer and chisel to remove the driveshaft, so the bearings are damaged and now when the offside wheel rotates it actually moves the engine on its mountings. Not nice to discover this after driving it 250 miles home. I thought the wobble at 55mph was due to wheel balancing and discovered the driveshaft fault when getting this looked at.

Thanks all.

Forgot to say it's manual transmission.

Sorry the drive shafts on an IQ are only used on an IQ they do not share with any other models, if you are getting a used/salvage one it must come from a 1.0 manual IQ

Thanks Lee.

Ordered an AMK reconditioned one from YES (Yorkshire Exhausts Specialists), paid for it via PayPal, then got an email saying it "wasn't on their shelf when they went to pick it and that their supplier doesn't have any". Awaiting a refund...
