... including a new colour HUD...

That's a big tick then (although I love the current one - not too worried if it's colour or not).

This new Prius is looking more and more like our next car... (although I had mixed feelings about its looks first off...)

Still not sold on the front (Looks too 'busy' IMHO), but the side and back are nice.

Hope there is an off-switch for the HUD for Kingo

I noticed they've moved the Battery out of the boot and under the rear seats - Should give a decent boost to the boot space and improve the weight balance a decent bit!

I would have preferred it if they had gone for their new "corporate nose" to be honest... (a-la-Yaris/Auris etc) Probably not as aerodynamic though...

Having the HUD, for me anyway, mitigates the positioning of the main display to the centre to some degree. Love to sit in one and take it for a test drive to see what it is like.

EDIT: The photo of the front-end in the second link looks far better!

I wish they would re-design the tailgate (eliminate the piece of metal-work that cuts across the top of the back with the high-level brake light). It doesn't look right on any vehicle.

It looks very nice indeed overall!

The reduction in size has been made possible thanks to the motor’s new multi-axle design: the length of the transaxle has been made shorter by locating the drive motor and electric motor/generator over multiple axles, instead of the previous single axle. The planetary gear arrangement in the reduction gear has been replaced with parallel gears, which further helps loss reduction.

Interesting! Would like to see how that is arranged, and how they handle variable speed between all the components.

Really, worked well on the 2006> Civic in my opinion, and is key to the Prius aerodynamics, and does a good job at preventing you from being dazzled by tailgaters. Personally I'm a big fan of it.
