Ae92 Selling Advice

My AE92 has unfortunately has stated making a rattle/knocking noise from engine, suspect big/little ends. Needs a new engine
or engine rebuild which I not have facilities, time or money to do :-(

Was looking for some advice if I list it what sort price do you think a white 1990 AE92 with rust and engine on its way out could realistically advertise for? (It still runs and only makes noise when warm around 2.5K revs, but is sleeping in my garage at moment).

Phil.

Toyota Corolla GTi, UK (how do add pticure to post or put them some to link to?)

Your car is a classic with a cult following!

Depend on price - u will get a lot of interest (hopefully not too many nuisance interest!)!

Some pics on internet allow u to copy n paste direct on here.

Or u can open a www.PhotoBucket.com account to upload pics on there, then paste that link onto here...

Hard to take pictures in a garage and my garage on slope
and don’t want to drive up and down in case make engine any worse.

In boot is collection spares have accumulated to come
with car as I will have no use for them once car sold, and saves me trying to
sell them after.

Nice :)

Rust is the BIGGEST killer in old cars (especially Jap ones).

Next is the engine.

U have both.

Have a look on eBay, Auto trader, Gumtree, piston head - u will then have an idea on price.

Not many come up for sale (certainly not good ones)

But at least u have some idea on price.

Then test the water on Gumtree (free) - u will get a not of nuisance interest - but at least gives u some idea...

I remember there is a dedicated UK AE92 forum - u could try asking then.

But my experience shows unless u have a well looked after unique car - its not the best place for the best price....
