just fitted in a Alpine TV Headunit(looks like yours) in a RAV4,

say if the screen is out and you switch off the ingnition, is there a way that the screen can hide itself?

PS the guy paid 700 for the headunit, cables and fixture(is that about the right price?)

yes

press and hold the setup button when the monitor is out

then press 2 or 3 (one of them is the menu for th controls for the screen itself)

i think its called 'Operation' (cant remember as i havnt played with it for so long! :( )

but you have the three options

MANUAL - its upto the owner to open and close the screen manually by pressing the open/close button

CLOSED - if monitor is open and the ignition is switched off the screen will slide back in

FULL - ignition on, screen comes out automaically, ignition off, screen goes back in automatically

£700? is that with the KCE-104V expansion/brain unit aswell? or just the headunit?? otherwise yes thats over the odds as the unit is approx 550 and the expansion unit is approx 160

there was a gray box(about 1inch) on the yellow wire, you can take the face off(smaller than a normal size) 1 RCA, 1 AUX,1 blank wire, is that the earth(not connected)

small grey box is the power choke on the power line

as far as im aware all there is, is the headuint and has therefor spent 150quid more than he needed to!
