So

There is no need for a separate letter of transfer of private plate?

Nor amended MOT with private plate on it?

Just take V5 to plate maker and its sorted???

Basically, yes. The V5 shows (presumably) that reg is now allocated to that car - Make, Model, VIN, etc.

There are no paper MoT certificates now; it's all electronic. If it is a car that has already reached MoT age and had one under the original registration, then once it's all worked through the system if you put the new reg into the MoT checker it will show the history including any MoTs under the old reg.

As it says in your picture, it's up to you to get new plates and usual rules apply about showing V5 and ID.

Thanks!

Yes I got the V5 in the Private reg :)

And yes I do have a paper MOT which DVLA returned to me with the old reg - I got confused as just a couple of years ago the DVLA would send me back an amended MOT with the new reg on it!

I guess things always change!

I rung Toyota and they said all I need was: V5, Driver Lic and Utility Bill :thumbsup::thumbsup:

My existing plates are also de-laminated - so getting new plates now will remove any potential MOT failure too :)
