Avensis 2.2 D4D Cutting Out

Hello I wonder if anyone can help, I have a 2005 avensis 2.2 d4d that is having starting problems it doesn't matter if it's hot or cold when I start it, it starts immediately and goes to 800 revs but then struggles and cuts out unless I catch it with the accelerator and rev it for about 30 seconds. It doesn't do when driving I can stop at junctions etc and its fine. I've cleaned the egr with no improvement. Any ideas anyone?

Change your fuel filter, I had the same issue a while back, changed the fuel filter and its been fine ever since!
