Water Pump Locked Up

Hello

Just drove my carina back home and the multi belt just broke. Now i see the waterpump is locked (car was standing for 6 months) Is it easy to replace at home and will I not need to take the timing belt off? It's a 4A-F engine 1600

Does any one has some advice? I've had some toyota's with the 4A engine and 3sge/3sgte engines.

But now i need to do it outside (no place in garage due to projects).

I'm hoping some one can help me with some tips!

I ordered the water pump set and will have it tomorrow

Thank in advance!

Ps I will introduce myself this weekend with pictures!

Solved!

1.5hour of work, most work was removing the gasket.

Bearing was seized but now all is working just fine!

Well done you - glad you got it all sorted. Did you change the belt and the tensioner pulley (kits were shown in link on this post http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/69634-carina-e-3s-fe-water-pump-change/
