Recently bought a 1997 1.4 toyota corolla saloon. 3-4 weeks after buying, all power went, car started, but once accelerated it was like the cat was blocked, anyways turns out that my fuel lines and filter were blocked with dirt, got them cleaned, and car ran fine, but engine management light was on and if the car was left turned off for more than 2 hours, it was very hard start again, i would have to turn for a good 3-4 minutes before it would start, now this evening as I'm driving the car is chugging and if i put the shoe down i get a very slow response, smell of burning from car also, any help is greatly appreciated.
