Thanks to this forum I've now found I've got this facility on my '14 reg Yaris Icon.

I've only had it for 18 months!.......................................

... I take it you've still managed to find home within the last 18 months though

Picking my 2014 Yaris up today, how do you use the "follow me home lights" ? :)

You flash the headlights as you get out of the car. They stay on for 10 - 20 seconds.

30 seconds is factory set default, this can in increased by a main dealer to 2 min though - worth doing when its next serviced :)

Why would this be useful? I cant think of a scenario in which I would use it.

We've got new LED streetlights which only illuminate a 2 metre circle below the lamp and nothing else. I used to be able to see the lock on my front door to put my key in but no longer can! The follow me home lights could come in handy :)

Think it depends on individual circumstances, and whether the area where one parks is lit or not.

Fair point and understandable. If I drove onto my drive rather than reversed it would be quite useful as I can never see when trying to get in (securirty light became faulty and would stay on constantly, it burnt out eventually).

Would be quite useful if camping or living in the countryside.
