Interesting article in this month's Which? magazine on car emissions.

Which? have analysed unique emissions data for 300 car and found that 95% of all diesels and 66% of petrol cars cannot meet the official emission limits in their tests. Of the Which? Best Buys, they found that five cars exceeded even the Euro 3 limits set last century. Which? have stripped these from their Best Buy awards, and all VAG cars implicated in the emissions scandal. The cars stripped of the Best Buy awards are:

Toyota Yaris 2011 on

Audi A3 2003-2012 and 2012 on

Audi A3 saloon 2013 on

Audi A5 Coupe 2007 on

Audi A6 Avant 2011 on

Audi Q5 2008 on

Seat Alhambra 2010 on

Seat Altea 2004-2013

Seat Leon and Leon ST 2013 on

Skoda Fabia Estate 2008-2014

Which? identified their 10 worst offenders that produced excessive diesel NOX and the 5 for producing excessive petrol NOX - none of which were Toyota or Lexus models.

The Peugeot 508RXH (diesel electric hybrid) was noted as producing three times the Euro 5 NOX limit.

Which? also looked at CO emissions for petrol cars, and within the 10 worst offenders, the current Toyota Aygo was included at no.3 - producing almost five times as much as the Euro 5 limit.
