Yaris Verso, changed from petrol to diesel.

Hi gang,

I just changed my trusty 2000 reg Yaris Verso, which I've had for 5 years, for a 2004 D4D T-Spirit diesel model.

All seems great but I am wondering one thing.
The time it takes for the engine to warm up (temperature light to go off) so that the heater can be used seems to be much longer than on the old petrol model.
Might this be a quirk of diesel engines, longer warm-up time, or something more sinister?

Opinions?

James.

Yes - diesels take much longer to warm up - that's just the way it it - nothing to worry about.

Thanks for that Dave.

Although I used diesel vehicles for many years when I worked this is the first I have owned.
It's good to know that all is as it should be although the wife won't be happy when the heater doesn't come straight on!

Cheers.
