Hi Conrod,

Congrats on your install mate.

I realised something, i assumed that i had the same satnav model as you but i dont, it appears that i have model B9012, can i assume installation would be the same as yours?

Finally, how and where did you mount your changer? If under the drivers seat how did you fix it?

Look forward to your response. Cheers mate.

Hello,

My name is Ryan and I'm from Belgium.

I have a Toyota Avensis 2.0 D4D from 2008 and I'm long time searching for a solution to be able to connect my iPhone to this B9010 unit.

I did not found any solution yet but I just read that someone here has a GROM adapter or something like that connected to his B9010.

So my question is do I need some correct software version fist on this B9010 and which MP3 adapter would suite this B9010?

Thanks for your help here.

Hi,

Angelo from Belgium here too, I have the same car as Rytec with the identical B9010 unit. Also thinking of placing at least an aux option to it. Any suggestions/news about this?

Best Regards.

Found some Russian guy claiming it worked for him on https://www.drive2.com/l/465080500361363505/

You can see a video there with the same unit and the adapter working, and in comments at the bottom, further explanation from the author with pictures.

Basically the guy just says the sites said the adapter does not work with B9010, but some other member told him it works, he just bought it, plugged it in and it worked fine, no adapter required. It was plugged in CD changer slot like in other units. He did not say any specific device, but they should all work, since they all use same principle of masquerading as CD changer.

For the price of ~20 euros for the unit on aliexpress, i would gamble and try it, but it's at your own discretion and personal risk.

In my opinion...if only aux is necessary...go for the cheap solution...but if you want USB, iPod, BT etc. go for a solution that supports texts...as you wont regret it 🙂
