Intelligent park assist not working

Hi I have a problem with the ipa on my 2011 Prius, it used to work fine and I admit I hardly ever used it, I tried to demonstrate it yesterday and when I press the button all I get is 2 quick beeps, nothing on the screen comes up, anyone got any ideas? would appreciate any help.

Only one possible suggestion, have you selected the indicator for the side you wish to park into.

IIRC with the Gen 3 it has to see some lines on the road surface if backing in parking and it won't work if it's too far away from the parking spot. I think it uses the sensors for parallel parking and you have to drive past the space. IPA is covered in the Navigation manual.
