I am about to change the Oil and filter on my 1800 2006  Auris and have been given conflicting advice on which oil to use and have been told I may have problems removing the filter because it needs a special tool?? I live in a small town 22 Kms north of my nearest city so do a fair bit of motorway driving plus round town speeds. The car has travelled 115000kms . Any advice would be much appreciated please. Catherine

The correct oil depends on the engine. Diesel or petrol?

There is no 1800 diesel engine and I guess White Auris is in Australia (the European petrol Auris is 1.4 or 1.6). Am I right, mate? :biggrin:

It's a petrol. Imported from Japan. I'm in New Zealand. Australia is that little country to the left 😊
