celica Gt4 st185 overheating

Hi got an st185 celica Gt4 got a common overheating problem under load.... Doesn't use water just gets warm and if I back off it drops down to a normal temperature again...  did 300 miles yesterday and didn't use a drop of water just kept backing off when temperature started to climb 

Anyone had similar issues? And any ideas on a solution thanks
