intermittant non start

hi there i have a 3.0 litre 58 plate hi lux which only starts when it feels like it. it is deffo a fuel problem i have replaced fuel filter housing and the switch on the back of diesel pump. it does not seem like injectors because you turn engine of and try to start immediatly and it will not go but on the next crank it will not run but it will start some mornings and not others its breaking my heart if anybody got some good advice that would be great as im starting to lose the plot with this motor.
