iQ fuel pump

Can anyone advise me whether I can gain access to the fuel pump on my iQ 1.3 from within the car or will I have to lower the fuel tank down on its straps to get to it.

The top of the pump can be accessed but only to disconnect the electrics removal of the pump needs the tank dropping.
