2007 Auris Rear Wiper

I ordered a new rear wiper blade for my 2007 Auris. The wiper arrived and it appears different from the rear wiper that was originally fitted and appears to be impossible to fit to the wiper arm. Are there different wipers fitted to some models?

The rear wiper blade on my 2012 Auris (first generation facelift) is the same as your 'new' blade.

Wonder if:

a) Toyota changed the fitment for the 2010 facelift

b) your 'old' blade isn't the original

Frostyballs is correct. The old blade is a lot more common in of other makes of cars.

The blade you received is correct. I checked the Denso catalogue - http://www.denso-am.co.uk/media/361563/dewb14-0001.pdf

The fitment is the same as my Mk3 Avensis Tourer - DRB-030 for the rear. I changed mine and that is what I have. Check page 6 of the catalogue which confirms the fitment, and page 139 that shows the blade part number.

You wiper are should look like this. If it does then the old wiper was the wrong type.

Fitting the wiper blade to the arm should look like the final picture.

There is a possibility that the arm may have been changed to accommodate the more common wiper arms, or the wiper fitted anyway.

After checking alternatives on eBay, it appears that there is a different version for Japanese built cars (JAPAN BUILT VIN Starts with J)

European market Auris were either built in the UK (five door models) or Turkey (three door models).

Show us close-up photos of the old wiper blade fitted to the arm, and the end of the arm, similar to my pictures above. Might answer more questions.

Looks like there are two different type of rear wiper arms fitted to the early Auris's.

You are correct. There is a Japanese version of the wiper which matches your old wiper. I did a search and eBay matched. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Toyota-Rear-Wiper-Blade-Auris-Corolla-JPP-8524212100/321308375860?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D36886%26meid%3Db1486c561f7940b390c1be615c180d92%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D321308375860

Euro Car Parts are doing good deals with Denso wipers, but like a majority of catalogues and sellers, they think you have the you received.

Part numbers are no help. You will have to take your old wiper to show the seller.
