Stylish, which yaris you got in mind?

I'm still 16, but I've been browsing these boards for quite a while before registering.

I don't turn 17 until September but it seems closer than it looks as I'm going on Holiday after my exams and I'm nearly finished exams and the holiday will just fly by.

It'd probably be the basic model as insurance is always high for first time drivers, although I would LOVE the T-sport but I think insurance will be high if I did buy one

1.3 models should be ok, T-sport will be a bit too much

wow, that's not that bad.

So roughly how much is it a year for your insurance?

I know it depends on which company you choose and area.

Well i used my mommas name and she lost a coupla no claims becuase she had a crash, i paid 800 quid.

Even on insurance group one, you're gonna be paying about a grand fully comp! its ridulous....

ahh i see, so basically, if you got your own insurance you'd get yourself quite a hefty quote.

whatever the car, at 17 ure gonna pay a lot. Its cos u are a high risk driver, having never driven by yourself on the road

When i was 17, my first car was a Citroen AX GT, full comp on my own was touching £1750, but i decided to go as a named driver putting my father as the policy holder.

Full comp was then £850

problem is, is that YOU dont get any no claims bonus

if ure under someone elses policy, pass plus doesnt count.

I did it straight after passing in 1999, but i couldnt use it as i was on my fathers policy

well the passplus doesnt always give discounts

some times it equates to 1 year NCB. However, only some companies recognise it, and most of the time, the companies that do, are more money anyway.

Still, i did it for the motorway experience, so i that i didnt brick myself the first time i joined the M25 at Junction 2.
