Recommended garage Kent/Sussex?

Hi all, I haven't been around as my car is so reliable!!

It's a 2008 RAV4 DCAT, and after a service and new brake pads at an official Toyota garage, I've just driven it from Lisbon where I live, to Kent, where I'm staying for a couple of weeks' holiday.  However, there is a noise that I don't think was there before, that sounds like a knocking or rubbing - varies with car speed but not engine speed. This makes for extra resonance on the motorway. Of course one might assume it's the brakes, as they were the last touched, but I'm not convinced it is.

Does anyone recommend a particular place hopefully not far from Tunbridge Wells or Hastings who could put it up on a ramp and have a look? It would be nice to get it sorted before I go back. I could probably book it in to an official dealer but at that age and with that specialist problem I'd assume a trusted independent garage might be better.

(I apologise if this is not correct protocol for TOC, it is on another board, but I couldn't see evidence here...!)
